DE Portal User Guides
DE Portal user guides are provided to assist support agencies in understanding how to use the DE Portal features as well as how to leverage the DE Portal capabilities to effectively engage with your business clients and help them to get more from using Internet-enabled applications – esolutions. The essentials for using the DE Portal are described via web pages as well as downloadable user guides for reference.
DEi Scorecards
The DEi Scorecard, named for the Digital Economy index (DEi), is a simple one-page report provided to businesses to create awareness of how they are using the Internet relative to their peers and to motivate action for adopting additional esolutions – Internet-enabled applications. Businesses must take the Business Assessment Survey in order to receive a DEi Scorecard through this site. Each business will be assigned a DEi score on a scale from 0 to 10 indicating it current level of use of a standard set of esolutions. Each business will also see the average DEi score for other businesses in its industry for comparison as well as the top three esolutions they may consider adopting and their potential financial impact for the business.
The DEi Scorecard provides important information to businesses on how to get more from using the Internet and provides a trigger for commencing a direct engagement with businesses on this topic. An overview of esolutions.
Financial Impact Calculator
The Financial Impact Calculator is an online tool to enable you to provide interactive support to businesses to assist them in determining which esolutions make the most sense for them and to prioritize where they should take action to adopt new esolutions. Every business is different and the priority for adopting new esolutions will vary from business to business. The Financial Impact Calculator answers the important question of what the financial benefit may be for the business to help them develop the rationale for investing time and effort in adopting new esolutions.

Business User Management
Businesses within your service area need to register with the DE Portal to access a variety of features and information, including the Business Assessment Survey and DEi Scorecard. Any business can self-register for access via the DE Portal login page. As a support agency you have the ability to also add new businesses, view and edit registered business information, and optionally accept new business registration requests ( you may opt to automatically accept all registrations). The DE Portal provides you with the visibility and control that you need for managing you business users.
Support Requests
Registered business users are provided with the option to submit a request for support that will be sent to you as the support agency. Businesses may want to request a meeting, such as to review their DEi Scorecard, or may simply want more information or some assistance in using the DE Portal site. The DE Portal gives you the capability to view, edit, and manage any support requests that you receive from businesses registered to you.
Newsletter Management
You will have a number of registered businesses that will grow over time. There are many reasons that you may want to periodically communicate with these business users via email, whether it be for special announcements, invitations to events, newsletters, or other outreach efforts. The DE Portal provides an optional Newsletter Management system for support agencies that do not already have an email distribution system to facilitate your communication requirements.
